Henderson’s Pipe and Drum Supply and Midwest Highland Arts Fund - North American Gold Medal Drumming Championship, presented by Pearl Drums, Andante Percussion,and Premier Percussion.
The North American Gold Medal, 2.5 inches (6.5 cm) in diameter gold-plated solid silver, featuring the MHAF logo on the obverse will be awarded to the Winner in Scottish snare drumming.
Prize moneys include First USD $750, Second $500, and Third $250. MHAF will supplement the First Prize to include up to $1,500 USD for air travel from North America for the Champion and his/her piper to compete in the World Solo Drumming Championships in October 2012, or to travel to Kansas City to compete at Winter Storm 2013.
The North American Gold Medal Champion will choose his/her prize snare drum from an array of Pearl, Andante, or Premier drums.
The Champion will also be invited to perform at WINTER STORM – The Pipes & Drums Concert.
